Service and Mission

"As families serve together, they grip a deeper understanding of one another and God. They find their faith more resilient and meaningful. Their children develop a faith that helps them stick to the church and to their beliefs into young adulthood." (Diana Garland, Inside Out Families, 2011)

Encourage children and families to build friendships with people living near them.
Provide opportunities and resources for families to serve others together - home; neighbourhood; church; world.
Provide opportunities to children to respond with compassion and generosity.

Celebrations Healthy Inside Out Series

The little decisions we make every day can help to keep us from getting sick. That’s why it’s important to learn the secrets for feeling good! If you choose to do these things every day, you will be happy and energetic. This doesn’t mean you’ll never get sick. We live in a world of contamination, and sometimes bad things happen to good people. But your chances of getting sick are much smaller if you choose to live a healthy lifestyle.

This series of resources produced by the General Conference includes the ‘Celebrations book’, ‘A Musical Journey’ and ‘Fun Skits For Kids’. These resources are all about the joy of being healthy inside and out! And the secrets for feeling good and being healthy. To order any of these resources contact your local Adventist Book Centre.

Jack Gives Back

Jack is a dog. And like other dogs, he doesn't know much about history or science. But he has figured out tithe. In fact, he understands the principle of tithing better than many humans, especially very young humans, who often resent having to give up some of their birthday money when the offering plate comes by.

In his first book Jack explains, in a way any child can understand, the importance of giving back to God. The simple words and charming photos will help you pass on to your children the same principles of stewardship that you've learned to live by.

If you want to order Jack Gives Back by Jannie Matthes contact us or your local Adventist Book Centre.
